Text in red indicates a fast drop in levels!

<- Keeping these levels above orange (41+) and certainly out of the red (20+) will prevent most illnesses from happening in the first place.
Illness/Trauma Icons will show in top right of screen.
If you get an Illness (Red Icon warning) then you need the appropriate medicine to remove its effects.
Character Creation Bonuses
Attribute Bonuses
- “Iron Stomach” gives -20 to the Chance of getting Dysentery.
- “Immunity Enhancement” gives -30 to the chance of getting an Infection.
- “Fast Recovery” reduces the duration of an Infection by -30%.
- “Iron Skin” reduces the chance to Bleed when attacked by -50%.
Profession Bonuses
- “Doctor” gives +1 to Medicine.
The Heat & Cold System
Staying next to Campfires, the Fireplace and a Smelter Furnace will increase your Cold Resistance and not affect the outside temperature. (Update 0.0.9.2 added the Fireplace and Smelter)
The duration between when the Temperature changes and the effects are first felt and are alleviated was increased in Patch 0.0.83.
Update (0.0.8.7) introduced new graphics on the UI to reflect being too hot or cold.

Warning! Prepare for the Summer Heat by removing clothes in the hot Summer which will help increase the temperature limit as will some clothes that give Heat resistance to keep you cooler. If symptoms persist then use the appropriate Heat/Cold Medicines.

Freshness/Condition
Most edible items have a “Freshness” condition which will start to decay when the loot spawns in the area the character is in and is measured in days. When any Food or Drink is consumed the chance of getting an illness rises as the item condition deteriorates!
Update 0.0.8.6: Reduced the probability of getting Dysentery and Cholera from eating Canned Food

More information on Cooking and storing food is here.
Tip- Only drink Clean Water and cook food to avoid illnesses, or have a supply of Dysentery Medicine and/or Probiotics.
Herbal Tea will cure Dysentery (along with the medicine) and there are added Update (0.0.8.7) screen effects for being ill with Dysentery.

Trauma
Attack Damage.
Each item will have an effective treatment for the type of Trauma and some can also help reduce the effects of the next level.
Attack damage (Infected & Trauma) is mainly from Zombie combat as it seems injury from falls, falling trees and PVP just reduces Health.
Fall Damage: Update 0.0.8.6- Falling from a height does not trigger rolling.
Height in Floor levels | Damage (- Health) |
1 | 0 |
2 | 30 |
3-5 | 70 |
6+ | Death |
“Y” heals the Trauma but the box will have text if it only reduces its effects and “N” indicates the item is not effective.
