Character creation is initiated automatically by creating or joining a new game for the first time. The customization of your character can be changed later in the game using the Shapeshift Mirror and Transfiguration.

Shapeshift Mirror
A magical mirror that lets you change your appearance.
The Shapeshift Mirror is unlocked in Tier 13 of your Obelisk. The Shapeshift Mirror allows you customize your Skin Color, Face, Hair Style, Hair Color, Ears, Horns, and Eye Color while in game.
To build the Shapeshift Mirror, you will need the following resources:
5 Emberplanks (“Found in Ashenreach / Stashes”)
5 Ash Extract (“Found in Ashenreach / Stashes”)
Transfiguration
Patch v1.4.0 introduced New Character Customization system called Transfiguration. This system introduces new cosmetic customization options which are unlocked by completing Steam Achievements. More information on Steam Achievements can be found here.
Transfiguration can be accessed by the Transfiguration Totem inside of the Shaman Camp in Everland. More on Transfiguration can be found here.
- Outfit — overrides your character’s appearance regardless of equipped gear.
- Weapon — toggles the visibility of your equipped weapon on your character’s back.
- Wings — changes the visual appearance of your wings while gliding.
- Eyes — changes the visual effect applied to your character’s eyes
