Storm Isle is a floating island POI that was added in Patch v1.4.0 in Shamania. A floating island that is home to the final elemental boss — Storm Sovereign.
Accessing this island requires a flying mount. Flying mounts can be purchased after completing quests for the Flying Mount Trader at the Dragonflight Camp in Cinderveil.
Once you land on Storm Isle you will need to reach the Storm Gate and interact with the Storm Gate Keeper.
The Storm Gate Keeper will give you the Storm Tamer quest to obtain a key to open the gate to the Storm Sovereign boss.
“Beyond the Gates lies the Storm Sovereign – a force of wind and thunder bound to this realm. You cannot face him unprepared. The path ahead demands proof – not of rage, but of endurance. To open the Gates, you must gather minerals and ore from every biome you have passed through, from the first land of your awakening to the last reached by your journey. When the offerings are complete, the Key will be forged. Only then may the Gates be opened… and the Storm Sovereign confronted. “
You will need to gather the following to complete the Storm Tamer Quest:
- 1,000 Iron Ore from Everland
- 1,000 Cobalt Ore From Cinderveil
- 1,000 Etherite Ore from Shardmere
- 1,000 Cinderite Ore from Ashenreach
Once you have completed the Storm Tamer quest you will receive 100 Gold Coins, 500 XP, and the Storm Gate Key.
After completing the Storm Tamer quest and obtaining the Storm Gate Key you unlock the Gate and confront the Storm Sovereign Boss. You are able to complete the Storm Tamer quest and face the Storm Sovereign as many times as you wish.
