Rescuing and utilizing NPCs can be great for solo and multiplayer games of No One Survived. The NPCs will collect resources for you and deposit them into the Control Center warehouse on a daily basis. More on NPCs and NPC Buildings here.
Gun fights with bandits in a solo game can be difficult, but there are various strategies you can incorporate into your style of gameplay. The same tactics can be applied to multiplayer games as well. Below, you can find generic images of the bandit camps from the 0.0.4.6 Update, the camp’s strengths and weaknesses, terrain challenges, and other good to know information before beginning your rescue missions.
Bandit Camp 101
- Locations: There are 11 bandit camps on Map 01, but only 5 bandit camps with rescuable NPCs. These camps are in C1, C5, A7, G6, and H1.
- Sizes: There are 2 sizes of camps. The small camps have around 7-11 bandits and the large camps have about 11-14 bandits.
- Layout: Each bandit camp has an outer defensive wall comprised of metal or concrete with spike traps and barbed wire. The inside of the camp can have several different buildings as well as a guard tower.
- Loot: It is possible to find rare items such as Police Uniforms, Car Repair Kits, or even a Car Spawn. The rest will have basic items like ores and tools, weapons and ammo, clothing and backpacks, as well as blueprints, solar panels, and fuel generators.
- Bandits: There are several types bandits you can encounter. Each bandit will have a different weapon as shown in the photos below.

Tactics
Snipe and Lure: Find cover behind the trees or in the saplings and snipe from afar. Use the distance to your advantage in this tactic and lure one or a few bandits to you while you pick them off like sitting ducks. They may not always come out one by one, but if you have a rifle like the M4, you can snipe and then switch to Automatic when the bandits get too close.
Mixed Assault: This is my favorite and most recommended method. Equip your character with multiple rifles, like the M4 and SKS, as well as Molotov Cocktails and Grenades. The idea is to snipe the bandits in the guard towers with the SKS, lure the bandits patrolling the entrances with the M4, and then launch a grenade into the interior of the camp to mop up the rest.
Vehicular Assault: This is ultimately a last resort technique. Drive your vehicle near and around the camp to agro the bandits. When they run out… run them over. Make sure your vehicle does not get surrounded by bandits or wildlife or it could be destroyed. Be sure to bring a Car Repair Kit and pay attention to the condition of your vehicle’s modular parts.
The “Don’t Go It Alone”: When all else fails, bring a friend or two to help you out.

What happens after the camp is cleared?
You hunt them and get Steam Achievements!

- Bandit Killer: Who’s the real bandit? can be unlocked by killing one bandit.
- Kill 100 Bandits: Show mercy to the bandits can be unlocked by killing 100 bandits of course. You can either repeat bandit camps that have respawned after 5 days or you can clear all 11 camps on the map.
Also since you have cleared the camp, rescued the NPC, and looted the place there are a few important things to be aware of:
- If you leave the area immediately after clearing the camp, a few Bandits may respawn inside. For example, if you walk down the road a little way to drive your car closer to load up loot, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have a bandit or two greet you at the entrance to the camp.
- Bandit camps will not stay cleared. The Bandit camps respawn after 5 days. This gives you time to go back for loot you left behind or unlock the cell and rescue the NPC if you didn’t do it the first time.
